When Does School Start In Perth 2023

As the new year gets into full swing you might be wondering when does school start in Perth 2023?

The Perth school year starts at the end of January 2023. With students returning to school on Wednesday the 1st of February 2023.

Term 1 Dates

Term 1 runs for 10 weeks finishing on Friday the 7th of April 2023.

Term 1 school holiday dates are the 8th of April to the 23rd of April.

Since Anzac day is on the 25th of April, you will likely find that most schools have a pupil free day on Monday the 24th of April.

What’s on in term 1? These things differ from school to school, but one major change this year is that NAPLAN testing will start on March the 6th. A change from starting mid - May!

Term 2 Dates

Term 2 starts the week of April 24th 2023 running for 10 weeks ending on the 30th of June 2023.

Term 2 Holidays run from 1st of July 2023 to the 16th of July 2023.

Term 3 Dates

Term 3 starts on the 17th of July and runs for 10 weeks ending on the 22nd of September 2023.

Term 3 Holidays run from the 23rd of September to the 8th of October.

Term 4 Dates

Term 4 starts on the 9th of October running for 10 weeks and ends on the 14th of December 2023.

Summer holidays run from the 15th of December 2023 to the 30th of January 2024.
